Happy Labor Day! Nanaw went to visit Chase in the morning and watched while he and Daddy played an active game of Army men -- at home, he doesn't call them Army guys like he does at Nanaw's house. Then Mama, Chase and Nanaw did a really fun thing -- they played horse races. Chase was going to the horse races in the afternoon with Mama, Daddy and Uncle Will-Bill. Chase has four stuffed horses named Grant, Shamrock, Mac and El Toro. Nanaw raced Mac, Chase raced Grant and Mama raced shamrock and El Toro. Mama would say Ready, Set, Go to start the race. But Chase sort of cheated and jumped out ahead of Mama and Nanaw -- it was great fun. The English minion and burgundy-haired Helen Cavallo were the judges. Mama says Chase had a really good time at the races, and he picked the first winning horse -- number 8 because that's Mama's favorite number.
