Chase was so cute giving Ms. Merz his "portant" paper this morning (next year's enrollment plan). When school was over, both Chase and Brady came running toward Nanaw to give her big hugs. Nanaw really liked that. Chase and Nanaw's Wednesday adventure was a visit to Powder Valley. It's been a few weeks since their last visit. Chase was excited to climb on his friend Mr. Frog outside the Nature Center building. Inside, Chase did his usual visits to various areas and displays. He saw the snakes, the tree frogs, the giant turtles, the puppet area, the feeding area where a huge wild turkey came to visit and eat seeds, the aquarium downstairs, the bird house building area and the wetlands videos. There were several new displays for Chase to visit: a bear display, an elk display and a scary stuffed feral hog. What made Chase happiest was that there were two busloads of school children visiting Powder Valley. Chase followed them around and talked to them and played with them -- being the little stalker that he is. Of course, when it was time to go, Chase didn't want to leave and started to fuss and cry -- Nanaw told him to please not cry because it might make the little boys and girls laugh at him -- and he sort of stopped crying -- yay!
