Chase's first activity on Monday morning was to suggest that he and Nanaw play pirates and have a treasure hunt. He asked Nanaw to draw a treasure map; then he put some Cars cars in his insulated Minions bag and hid it. He and Nanaw followed the treasure map, and eventually Nanaw found the bag in Pawpaw's shower -- it was a lot of fun. (In the afternoon, they played pirates again; this time Nanaw hid the bag and Chase found it where she hid it -- in the walk-in closet.) Monday's adventure was a trip to the Science Center. Chase insisted to taking the Minion bag along, filled with Cars cars. He also took Tee Tee and Jack Skellington. Nanaw likes that he takes along his friends; she thinks it means he has a loving heart. The Science Center was very crowded but Chase and Nanaw were lucky enough to find a parking place in the lot right next to the Planetarium so that was a good thing. They stayed a long while, and Chase visited a lot of his favorite places: the water pump area, the bees, the coal furnace, the dinosaur dig, the energy area and the chickens. When they got home, Chase wanted to make tickets for the Polar Express. So they made lots of tickets and punched holed in them and then gave the tickets to the Cars cars. Before Nanaw took Chase home for the day, they played baseball for awhile. When Chase got home, Daddy took him to get a haircut; Mama sent a photo to Nanaw of the cute haircut bug. Tomorrow the little family is getting its picture taken for the church directory.
