Once again, Chase fell asleep after Mama brought him to Nanaw's house on Thursday morning. And once again, he slept till 9 o'clock. After breakfast, Chase and Nanaw set off on their Thursday adventure: a trip to the Magic House. They were interested to see that the Sandcastle Beach was gone and the parking lot was back. First, the visited the Clifford Room, and Chase played in the video area for awhile, playing the music and dancing around. Then Nanaw took him to find the new Forts and Clubhouses area. But when they got there, Chase didn't want to play in it so they went to one of his all-time favorites, the Water Works. He had a good time squirting water and splashing with the boats. Then he played in the garage, working on the little red car. Finally, he decided he wanted to go back to the Forts and Clubhouses area so they did. This time he wanted to play there. He and two little girls worked on building a clubhouse with big pieces of material, which they hooked over chairs. Then they put lots of cushions inside and lay down and pretended to go to sleep. It was very cute. Chase's last activity was his favorite one. They went outside and Chase found a little pond that children were wading in. He asked Nanaw if he could wade in it, and she said yes. He had the most fun there, splashing around and playing with the boats. Of course, he didn't want to leave but Nanaw promised they would come back next week. After Chase's nap, Uncle Mike came over to cut Nanaw's grass, and Chase was happy to see him.
