Chase's Monday adventure at Movers and Shakers at the Columbia Library didn't go well, and it had an unhappy ending. Chase did a lot of running around the room before the program began. When Miss Angie started the songs, Chase wouldn't sit in a chair -- he insisted on sitting on the rug. But he wouldn't sit still there and did more running. Nanaw tried to get him on a chair and tried to get him to stop running but he wouldn't, even when Nanaw told him they would have to go home if he didn't sit down. Finally, sadly enough, Nanaw took a crying Chase by the hand, and they left. Chase cried off and on all the way home and during lunch and right up to his nap. Nanaw felt terrible about taking him home but she knew it was the right thing to do, and Mama agreed when Nanaw told her about it. The afternoon adventure was much better -- Mama had an opening day party for the Cardinals. Mama said Nanaw shouldn't call it a party because she and Uncle Mike were the only guests but Nanaw still thought it was a party. Chase had a wonderful time with Uncle Mike, playing tag with him and watching him go down the side multiple times. It was a great party, and Aunt Becky came, surprising Uncle Mike.
