Chase's adventure for Sunday was a trip out to Wentzville with Mama and Daddy for Grandma Pat's birthday celebration. Several of Chase's cousins were there, and Daddy said Chase had fun playing with Nicholas, Kyle, Wesley, Zander, and Austin. Chase didn't get to play outside or play with his new "truck," as he calls it because it rained all day. Nanaw came to visit in the evening, and first she and Chase read the book about a duckling learning to swim that he had her check out of the library when they were there for story time on Thursday. Chase wanted to play games so he, Mama and Nanaw played two games: the Thomas pop-up game and Jenga. For a three-year-old, he does amazingly well at both games. Mama loves to play games and so does Chase so they're a perfect pair. After the games, Mama gave Chase a bath and then Daddy read a Thomas book to him -- twice. Chase's latest "go-to" phrase is a funny one, or so Nanaw thinks -- Mama not so much. He says, "Give me a moment." Mama thinks he may have picked it up from her. On Monday, Chase and Nanaw have the following plans: do a reconnaissance trip to find the Animal Protective Association on South Hanley (for the Tuesday Tails program) and maybe go to the Science Center and the Eugene Field Toy Museum.
