For Chase's "Toy of the Day," Nanaw brought Chase's farm and the farm animals into the living room, and Chase seemed to have lots of fun playing with them. He eventually brought in one of his toy pickup trucks and loaded the animals into it and drove them around the room. Yesterday, Nanaw told Chase he could help her change one of the light bulbs in the bedroom. So in the morning, Nanaw told Chase she would bring in the step stool but Chase insisted on the ladder so that's what Nanaw brought. Chase had fun climbing up and down the ladder, of course with Nanaw's close supervision and watchful eye. Chase and Nanaw played downstairs with the trains and Chase's groceries for awhile before lunch. For lunch, Nanaw fixed a grilled cheese sandwich for Chase, the first time she's done that. Mama fixes them for Chase all the time, and he seems to like them. Chase told Nanaw, "This is good cheese. This is dee-wishes." So Nanaw will do that again. After lunch, Chase and Nanaw went over to Chase's house to let Sam out -- Daddy had to work later than usual, and Mama was worried about her Sam. After Chase's nap, he and Nanaw were telling stories, and one of the stories involved Chase and Sam going for a walk to the playground. Chase said, "The playground was broken, and I was so sad." Very cute.
