Chase had two library adventures and one trip to Walmart on Thursday. His first library adventure was Tot Time at the Columbia Library with Miss Candy. Chase rolled around the floor and played with a little girl named Fiona while Miss Candy read a story. The story she read was about sheep and the craft was "painting" a picture of a sheep, using an empty thread spool and white paint. Chase loved the painting and made quite a mess. After Tot Time, Chase and Nanaw went to the reading room where Chase spread the cushions on the floor and jumped on them and played with a little boy named Clayton. Chase was disappointed that the playground was still "broken," with the workmen still working on the poles. Chase and Nanaw's next stop was the Telegraph Road library for Story Time with Miss Laura from the Weber Road branch, which is currently closed. Miss Laura read several books about pets and used some hand puppets to illustrate the stories. The craft was a picture of a dog and cat for Chase to color. Nanaw cut out the picture and Chase used the glue stick to put it on a blue piece of paper -- he does love using the glue stick. Next Chase and Nanaw went to Walmart, and Nanaw bought Chase three more miniature trains and "Bones" from the vending machine. Nanaw received a picture of the washed out road at Aspenhof and sent it to Mama and Uncle Mike. The good news is that they managed to fix the road and so Nanaw will be able to go to Aspenhof this weekend.
