Chase's adventure for the day was going to Movers and Shakers at the Columbia Library. It was a small group on Monday, only four boys and girls were there. The little boy who leads Chase down the wrong path wasn't there so Chase didn't do quite as much running around. One of the little boys did some loud, ear-piercing screaming at the end of the program, and Chase looked at him and said, "What the heck?" The little boy's grandmother said, "That's right. What the heck?" After Movers and Shakers, Chase and Nanaw tried to go to the playground but it was closed -- worker men were there putting up tall poles. It looks like they might be putting some kind of cover over the playground. Nanaw will have to investigate. When Chase and Nanaw got home, they went downstairs again to play with Chase's trains. When Chase woke up from his nap, he called Nanaw into his room and said, "I'm so hungry. I need licorice." Very funny. He had lots of red licorice at Nanaw's house on Easter Sunday and lots in his Easter basket. But Nanaw didn't have any left at her house so Chase had to wait until he got home to have red licorice. In the meantime, he had an afternoon snack of yogurt, applesauce and chocolate milk.
