When Nanaw picked Chase up from school on Thursday afternoon, he told Nanaw he didn't have any homework that he needed to do after school because it was like a Friday, and he could do whatever homework he had when they got back from Chicago. Nanaw said it wasn't quite going to be that way. She told him about a math worksheet that he got a grade of 69 on. So Nanaw said they were going to go over the math used on the worksheet to find out what Chase missed. He wasn't too happy about that but he worked with Nanaw on the math for an hour and then Nanaw said he could play on the computer and his phone. They'll do more work on the math on Sunday and Monday. Nanaw needs to work on it, too because it's math she'd never done: box and whisker plot; interquartile range and mean absolute deviation. So Nanaw needs to learn all that by Sunday or Monday so she can help Chase. He missed the math quiz on Friday because he was in Chicago so he has to do it Monday. On Thursday evening, Mama and Daddy prepared Valentine's dinner (they postponed it because Valentine's Day was on Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, and Chase and Daddy couldn't eat meat). Daddy grilled steak, and Mama made corn on the cob and chocolate pudding pie. It was all delicious. Nanaw was going to take a picture of Chase before she left, but he wanted to take a selfie so he did.
