Chase had a busy day on Thursday. First, Chase and Nanaw went to the Train House to see the Christmas train display again. Chase had popcorn, of course, and shared it with Nanaw. He had fun looking at the toys in the gift shop. Chase and Nanaw looked at all the displays and found three of the eight candy canes. The other five are in other buildings and locations. When Mama comes along to visit next week, they'll have her try to find the three candy canes. They also identified some things for her to find. Scavenger Hunt for Mama at the Train House: Three candy canes; Fox; Buzz Lightyear; Eagle; and Someone making snow angels. In the afternoon Chase went to Will's house to play. Nanaw said she would pick him up in two hours and thirty minutes. Chase said he would set a timer on his Fitbit. Nanaw is so impressed that he learned how to set a timer all by himself. When Nanaw went to pick up Chase at Will's, she had a delightful talk with Jill and her mother. Chase said he had a wonderful time at Will's. On the way home from Will's, Chase and Nanaw went to Dollar Tree. Nanaw wanted cookie containers but they'd sold all of them. So she got containers with red and green lids. She's giving cookies to Uncle Doug and Aunt Rita, nephew Dan and Sherry and their two sons, Aunt Rita's sister Aunt Cheryl, and Sherry's brother and his family. Chase and Nanaw bought lots of flavored water at Dollar Tree. When Nanaw got home, she couldn't find her phone and was afraid she'd lost it at Dollar Tree. So she and Chase got in the car to go to Dollar Tree. Chase heard some kind of noise that he thought was coming from Nanaw's phone so Nanaw went into the house and called her number. Chase came running into the house with her purse and the phone, saying he'd found it in her purse. A million yays for Chase!!
