Everybody had a wonderful time at Rockbridge this past weekend. Daddy was the super fisherman. He caught the first fish, the last fish, the most fish, and the largest fish -- 4 pounds 6 ounces. The food was wonderful and everybody ate too much. Nanaw had a hot fudge brownie sundae (sundah, as Nanaw calls it) both nights. The first night, Chase had a chocolate cream pie, Mama had a coconut cream pie, and Daddy finished off Mama's dessert. The second night, Nanaw was the only one who got dessert, and she shared it with everybody. At breakfast Sunday, Chase got his first grilled cinnamon roll. Aunt Becky had trout at every meal except breakfast. On Sunday morning, Mama and Daddy did half of what Nanaw calls the dangerous walk. Nanaw's goal for next year is to convince Mama and Daddy to go with her on the dangerous walk. Nanaw did lots of exercises and walking this past year, and she was able to walk up the hill to the rooms without stopping to rest. So in the coming year, she'll do more exercises and more walking. One of the high points of the weekend was the Dish Scape of toy trains moving back and forth across the TV screen, as shown in the first photo below. Everybody got involved in watching the trains. It was so funny. Chase only went fishing once but had a great time. Mama took Sam and Sylvester for lots of walks, which the pups liked. Nanaw went for a walk by herself up the gravel road by the red house. As usual, Nanaw said it was the best Rockbridge visit ever
