Today was Nanaw’s favorite adventure day because it was Chase’s first sleepover at Nanaw’s house. Nanaw picked up Chase in the morning, and they went to Lafayette Square to pick up Nanaw’s friend Jackie who was visiting from Birmingham, Alabama. Nanaw and Jackie have been friends since first grade at Bel-Nor school, and that’s a really long time. They had lunch at the Bread Company on Telegraph Road, then went back to Nanaw’s house to visit. Chase was his most charming ever, smiling and babbling and not fussing or crying at all – what an angel baby he is. They took Jackie back to Lafayetter Square and then picked up Sam so he could play at Nanaw’s house for awhile. Mama and Daddy went to the Mizzou football game against Vanderbilt but the Tigers lost so that was sad. Chase fell asleep when they were taking Sam back home and slept all night -- so it was a successful sleepover.
