Today was a major day for Chase: his baptism. Nanaw took him home from his sleepover about 9:30, and there was a flock of penguins on his front yard, courtesy of Auntie Bert. His Mama and Daddy got him dressed in his wonderful white suit. And they all went to 11 o'clock Mass. The baptism ceremony was at 12:15. There were four or five other babies being baptized at the same time as Chase. He was extremely chatty during the ceremony, babbling away and then getting a bit antsy and fussy. His cousin Kyle had to bring his Herman toy up to him and then came back with the beaded teething ring. There were about 30 people at his baptism party, including his new BFF Jackson. The sub sandwiches were delicious and disappeared quickly, as did the yummy cake that said "God Bless Chase" – per Godmother Auntie Alice.
