In the morning, before Chase spent the day at Nanaw’s house, Mama was worried about Chase perhaps being sick. He didn’t sleep well Thursday night, and Mama thought his chest was congested. Nanaw decided it would be better for Chase to stay home from Clayton Laptime. Chase seemed fine and not sick except for a runny nose. Nanaw made Chase a new play area in his room by putting up a gate in the hall outside his room. He seemed to really enjoy playing with all his toys in the new area. First he had to play with the door, opening and shutting it, until Nanaw put up a doorstop. Then he played with the vertical blinds. Finally, he abandoned the blinds and played with his toys.
