Daddy had the day off so he brought Chase over to Nanaw’s house at 10:30. Chase had a snack and played in his room with Nanaw. Then they went on an adventure so that they could be out of the house before the cleaning lady came. First, they went to Walgreen’s and then they went to the Waterloo Walmart. Chase was quite the entertaining character in Walmart, laughing and smiling and having lots of people saying hello to him. The seat belt on the first shopping cart he was in didn’t work, and he started standing up in the seat. Nanaw put him in the cart while they went to find a cart with a seat belt that worked. After Walmart, they went to the park by the library and had a picnic lunch. Then it was time to go back home, and Chase fell asleep on the way. He seemed to like riding in the front facing car seat that Daddy put in Uncle Mike’s van for the day. Chase slept until 4:30, and then he and Nanaw went back to his house. Mama and Chase drove up to Uncle Mike’s in the Rav 4 and Nanaw drove Uncle Mike’s van. After returning the van, Mama, Chase and Nanaw went to McDonald’s in Columbia, and Chase had a chicken McNugget Happy Meal and got a Ronald McDonald with a hula hoop.
