Mama worked at home on Thursday so she could be with Sam. Chase was excited about seeing his church buddy Steven for church on Thursday. Nanaw went over to Chase's house in the afternoon because the cleaning lady was at her house. She stayed downstairs so she didn't bother Mama working upstairs. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, they went to the Telegraph Road library. Chase was happy to see that they had the trains out on the table again. They'd bought many more things to go with the trains and Chase had a great time building tracks. Then an older boy (about eight, Nanaw thinks) named Daniel came to play at the train table, and Chase was delighted. They played together nicely for awhile. When it was time to go, Nanaw was afraid Chase would fuss but he was fine as long as he got to go to the "bending machine." In the evening, Mama, Daddy and Chase went up to Chase's school for Family Fun Night. Nanaw babysat Sam so Mama didn't worry about it. At Family Fun Night, they had a variety of activities put on by the teachers, including crafts and cooking. Brady was there and Chase had a good time.
