Chase had a major adventure on Monday. He went to the Zoo with Mama, Daddy and Daddy's expanded family. They invited Nanaw to go along with them but she couldn't go because it was too hot outside. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase standing in front of the penguins, some of his favorites. She also sent a picture of the new stuffed animal that Chase got at the Zoo gift shop: another lemur like Lars. Later in the day, Chase sent Nanaw a selfie of himself and the new lemur, which Nanaw found out he and Mama named Dylan after the Cardinals player Dylan Carson. One of the other lemurs is name Lars after Cardinal Lars Nootbaar. Some of the people that went to the zoo included Aunt Patti and cousins Alexander, Bo and Meghan; Uncle Chuck, Aunt Kristen and cousin Mallory; Uncle Will-Bill; Aunt Ginnie; Aunt Kate; and some of Aunt Ginnie's and Aunt Kate's kids. They didn't have lunch there but they had snacks like popcorn and cheese curds. They looked for lemurs but couldn't find them. Nanaw came to visit in the early evening and met Dylan. Chase and Nanaw played baseball with the
stuffed animals on Chase's bed, and then they played thunderstorms under the covers.
