Daddy brought Chase over to Nanaw's house at about 10 on Thursday morning. Chase gave Nanaw a smile and said, "No school today." Nanaw gave him a smile back, and said they would do fun school later in the day. Chase asked Nanaw what that meant, and Nanaw explained that they would do things Chase liked to do. They settled on coloring pictures and doing the multiplication flashcards. Nanaw set up paper, crayons and colored pencils on the dining room table, and Chase drew a picture of Pepper, his stuffed peppermint stick for Mama. He had drawn a picture of Pepper for Grandma Pat, and Mama had loved it and asked Chase to pretty please draw one for her. So he did. Then he got on the computer and Googled coloring pages for lemurs. He found a site with pictures of lemurs that you could color and printed it out and colored it for Nanaw. Nanaw was very excited about the site he found with millions of coloring pages. She put a link to the coloring pages website on her website on the Educational Websites page of the site. They also read in the book about Uncle Clem and in the Answers book about sea level. In the evening, Mama took Chase to soccer practice, and she said it looked like he was doing well. After soccer practice, the boys did some running around the field because soccer practice conflicts with cross country practice and the boys have been going to soccer practice. Chase has cross country practice on Saturday morning, and they're going to do some timing of the boys running.
