When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he told her that he found his Weekly Writing paper; it was in his bin, where he thought it might be. He said he had lots of homework. He brought his clarinet home from school, and he did quite a concert for Nanaw back at Nanaw's house. He's really good at playing the clarinet and seems to enjoy it. Nanaw asked him if he was going to join the jazz band but he said he thought he'd stay with the regular band. After the clarinet concert, he started doing his homework at the dining room table. He had homework in math, history, science and religion, plus doing his Weekly Writing. With Weekly Writing, he chooses a topic each week from a monthly list of about eight topics. This week he chose to write about flying cars. Each week he has to write half a page in cursive. Nanaw proofread his writing and had him change a couple of words (spreaded and costed -- LOL) and had him cross a couple of t's he forgot to cross. He does a really good job of writing, and Nanaw is very proud of his ability. On the Iowa State test, he was in the 96th percentile in creative writing.
