Today’s clothes plan for Chase’s school was mix and match. Mostly that meant wearing crazy things that didn’t match. The highlight of Chase’s outfit were socks that didn’t match. That was Chase’s idea. When Nanaw picked Chase from school, the first thing he said was that he’d forgotten his science fair journal and he was going back inside for it. At Nanaw’s house, Chase worked on his weekly writing while Nanaw checked his math. He had two problems wrong and he skipped two problems. He would have missed four problems if he hadn’t brought it home for Nanaw to check, which is what he’s supposed to do with homework that isn’t due till the next day. So maybe he’ll start bringing homework home to be checked. His topic for this week’s weekly writing is writing a poem about the state of Illinois. He looked up facts about Illinois and got half of the poem done. He was going to finish it at home, along with his AR reading. Daddy came to pick him up at 4:45 for baseball practice.
