Chase had an exciting day on Monday. Daddy had the day off from work, and in the morning, he took Chase golfing at the golf course by the miniature golf course. Chase was so proud of his score; on nine holes he got a 51. Daddy had a 45, and Chase was glad Daddy only beat him by six points. After golf, Chase went home for lunch. Then Chase and Daddy came over to Nanaw's house for fishing lessons and to go fishing. They took the fishing rods, tackle boxes and chairs over to the dam where they usually fish. Daddy showed Chase and Nanaw how to put hooks, lures and sinkers on the fishing line. Nanaw doesn't have a fishing rod of her own so she'll ask Uncle Mike if there's one in her garage she can use to go fishing with Chase. After a while, Daddy went home, and Nanaw and Chase went to Nanaw's house. Chase played on the computer, and Nanaw worked on the laptop. Nanaw took Chase home at about 3:30. His friend Cole was coming over at four, after his day camp, to play with Chase. The first picture below is Nanaw's little fire pit she bought from Amazon -- and put together by herself. Will told her not to use it on the porch because the smoke would mess up her house. He said to use it on the sidewalk where none of the smoke would get at the house. In the evening, Nanaw built a fire in the fire pit and sat on the porch reading the newspaper and watching the fire.
