Chase had running club at Metter Park (the little library park) on Monday morning. He was very happy that his friend Joey was there for running club for the first time. Evidently, for the first few weeks of running club, Joey was at camp. Hunter wasn't there, and Chase told her that Henry has been coming along with his brother Gus. Nanaw forgot to bring along the Gator Ade after running club so Chase drank it when he got home. For lunch, Nanaw heated up his leftover roast beef sandwich from Friday night's dinner at Syberg's in Arnold. It was roast been on toasted cheese garlic bread. Nanaw used her new toaster over to warm it up, and Chase said it tasted good. They're over half-way done reading Slugger in school. Chase said they can go back to Abducted when they finish Slugger. For school, the first thing they do is read Slugger. Then they do the math in the big red math book. Unfortunately, that math isn't Chase's favorite so that's why they do it toward the beginning of school. Nanaw is trying to get Chase to be happier about math because his feelings about it might affect how well he does in his math class. When Nanaw took Chase home, he arranged to go to the little park with Brady. He was going to ride his bike but the pedal was broken so he was going to take his scooter. They played in the back yard for a while, and then they were going to the little park at 7:30.
