Chase and Nanaw spent the day at Chase’s house while Mama and Daddy were at work. Chase said "Cheese" while eating cheese, according to Nanaw. Mama brought Chase a lighted toy that someone at work had given her, and Chase seemed delighted with it. Chase, Mama, Sam and Nanaw went for a walk while Daddy was out shopping. Nanaw came back at 8 o’clock to take Chase over to her house for the night because Mama and Daddy had to get up early to go to the airport. Nanaw built a fire, and Chase watched it with fascination.
