Mama brought Chase to Nanaw's house early on Tuesday so she could get some work done before her meetings started. Chase and Nanaw had story time with Shawn the Sheep and two sheep books. Then Chase played downstairs while Nanaw walked on the treadmill there. Their adventure for the day was a visit to Powder Valley. There were only two other people there, a father and his little girl. Nanaw was concerned that Chase would be unhappy that there weren't a lot of little children there but he seemed to have a fine old time on his own. Chase visited all his favorite displays: the tree frogs, the huge snakes, the fish aquarium (the turtle was buried in the gravel again, all except for his head), the tree house, the bees and the coloring area. Chase did a lot of coloring. He took one of the little four-page Missouri Conservation newsletter for kids, opened it up and said, "Open your textbooks to chapter 2" -- the words are from the movie Monster University. Nanaw made sure to give Chase a healthy lunch because he didn't eat very healthfully during the Rockbridge weekend.
