Nanaw reminded Chase to go to the Lost and Found and look for his lunch box when she dropped him off at school on Tuesday morning. He said he would. When Nanaw picked him up after school, that was the first thing she asked him about. And he had remembered. He also remembered to bring his math homework home and he'd finished everything else in class. But he said he had forgotten an envelope, and he went right back into school with no protests or anything. Nanaw told him she'd be right there waiting for him. When they got to Nanaw's house, they worked on his math homework together. The math was order of operations and Chase taught Nanaw how you followed PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). They had 28 problems to do, and Chase got some wrong and Nanaw got some wrong but together they managed to get them all correct. They did one decimal problem; they're going to do one decimal problem a day until change knows decimals. This morning Mama told Nanaw how on the ride over to her house, Chase thanked her for being such a smart Mama and helping him with his homework. Then Chase said he would have to thank his very smart Nanaw also. The other day he said his math grade would be worse if he didn't have Nanaw to help him with it. Nanaw can't wait till they get to calculus. Nanaw's Christmas tree is coming down this week so Nanaw took one last picture of Chase in front of it.
