Chase and Nanaw went through his vocabulary words one more time on Wednesday morning before Nanaw took him to school. (In the afternoon, Chase told Nanaw that his teacher only had them do the front side of the vocabulary quiz because she felt sorry for them. Chase got 12 out of 12.) It was sort of a mess when Nanaw picked Chase up from school. He had forgotten his Weekly Writing packet so Nanaw had him go back into school. Then when they were in the car, Nanaw told him he had a vocabulary quiz tomorrow and asked if he had his study materials. He said he didn't know about the quiz and hadn't brought his notebook. So they drove back to the front of the school, and Chase went inside to get his notebook. Chase is not paying attention to Homework Central or what the teacher is writing on the board about homework and quizzes or writing it in his agenda. Nanaw and Mama will keep reinforcing that he needs to be on top of what quizzes, tests, and homework he's supposed to be doing. Until he is doing things himself and can be depended on, Nanaw's job is to look at Homework Central every day before she picks Chase up from school and make notes on what homework and tests he has and make sure he brings home all the materials he needs. At Nanaw's house, he did his history homework, and he and Nanaw studied the vocabulary words for tomorrow's quiz. They'll go over the words once more on Thursday morning before school. When they were getting ready to go to Chase's house, Chase said Nanaw was the best grandma in the world. So Nanaw gave him a big hug.
