Chase and Nanaw went to the County Library on Thursday to sign up for the summer reading program. They've changed things a bit this year. They now give out the free book at the beginning of the program instead of halfway through. Chase selected a book of wacky facts about animals, and Nanaw chose a David Baldacci book. Chase got some fruit treats from the vending machine, one of his favorites. They also went to the bank to get money for Father's Day and extra cash. The bank has changed their green suckers to Dum Dums, which met with Chase's approval. School went well, with Chase in a good mood. He's still having trouble with decimals so it's a good thing they're going to study them all summer. For his journal topic, Chase wrote about the two week-long camps he went to a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, he didn't like either camp very much and refused to go to them again. This year, he's going to a week-long hockey camp in June, and he's looking forward to that. He did well with the English worksheets and the multiplication and division problems. Mama came to pick Chase up at 4:40 to take him to baseball practice.
