When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, she asked how his day went, and he said good. She then asked if he'd just read through the music in Band, and he said he'd actually played the clarinet. He said his fingers worked fine. So that was good news. He turned in his Reading questions but he said they were easy, and he thinks he did okay. He said the only homework he had was Math; both Chase and Nanaw forgot about the eight sentences he still has to write for the Vocabulary assignment due Friday. So now he has to do all eight sentences tomorrow. He wants to try to do some before school and some after school. Both Chase and Nanaw did the Math division problems. Something interesting happened. The assignment was to copy the division problems from the Math book into the Math spiral binder. Chase did that. When it came time to check his answers against Nanaw's, he had trouble finding and reading his answers because his writing is still so bad. It's almost too light to be read, it sprawls all over the place, and he doesn't form his numbers and letters legibly. Nanaw will continue to try to help him get better because one of these days the teachers are going to count his poor writing against his grades. Chase left his phone in the front seat of her car so she dropped it off on her way home from the library. She was happy to see that Chase had gotten a short haircut. She loves it when he has a buzz cut. See the comparison in the two photos below.
