Friday, the 13th! One of Mama's favorite spooky days. She took the day off to spend with Uncle Mike. So she took Chase to school on Friday morning rather than Nanaw. Chase asked Mama to call Nanaw and have her go to his house and get some of his "people" (his stuffed amamals) so he could have them after school. So Mama called Nanaw and Nanaw got lots and lots of people for Chase. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, she told him about all the errands they were going to run: the bank, the post office, Dollar Tree and the cemetery. So as they're driving along, Chase tells Nanaw, "Be sure to stick to the schedule." He's a funny little fellow. They had to make one change to the schedule. After the bank, Chase said he had to go really badly so Nanaw took Chase to the restroom at Schnuck's. At Dollar Tree. Chase picked out a light-up football, a package of baseball cards, Sick Bricks and a squiggly blue centipede. When they got back to Nanaw's, Chase set up his new possessions in what he called "centers" -- which is what they call various areas and activities at school. It was very cute. When Nanaw took Chase home, he was very excited to see an inflatable Jack Skellington on the back deck. Mama bought it at Walmart Friday morning. He asked Nanaw to take his picture in front of Jack, the first time he's ever asked Nanaw to take his picture. Usually he doesn’t want his picture taken. When he came inside to play with his toys, he put on the Halloween shirt Nanaw bought for him, over his uniform shirt -- what a character.
