When Nanaw took Chase to school on Monday morning, he turned in his penguin story to Mrs. Hermann for the Young authors contest. Mrs. Hermann talked to Nanaw about volunteering in the classroom and promised to get back to Nanaw with details on what she can do. Nanaw is very excited about being able to help out with the children -- she thinks it will be great fun. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he was wearing what he called an alligator headband. Then he put it on upside down and it was an eyeballs headband. Very cute. On the way home, Chase and Nanaw went to the library to drop off books and to play in the playroom. Chase checked out three library books all on his own -- he picked out the books and used his own library card to check out the books -- it was very cute. When Chase got home, Mama had the Halloween decorations out for them to put up. Chase was very excited about decorating. Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Chase in front of the hearth, with Tyler lying nearby, pretending that the pumpkins were talking -- very creative of the little fellow.
