When Chase came to Nanaw's house on Friday morning, he wanted to type his spelling words on the computer so Nanaw helped him do that. He also wanted to print them out, which they did. Next, he wanted to write a story, and Nanaw helped him do that. (Note: On the way back from taking Chase to school, Nanaw and her car almost got hit by a falling tree on Quarry Road -- it fell across the road about 20 feet in front of Nanaw.) When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he said he didn’t want to go to McDonald's for dinner tomorrow night at his sleepover. He said he would let her know what he wanted. Then he said he wanted pot roast. Nanaw said they were having pot roast on Sunday night before the Oscars, and then Chase said, "You can never have too much pot roast! That's what you said, Nanaw!" So they went to Walmart and got all the makings for pot roast plus $13 worth of Pokemon cards. Nanaw thought they cost $4. As they drove, Chase wouldn't tell Nanaw what he got on his spelling test. He said he wanted to type it in his story, which he did. He got an O! He printed out his story to take to Mama. In the story, he also said, "Don't throw this in the trash!" For dinner, Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Then they walked over to Dick's Sporting Goods to get roller blades and pads for Chase. Chase's ice skating teacher suggested using roller blades to help Chase learn to ice skate. Nanaw apologized to Chase for not going to his soccer game tomorrow morning but it's at 8 a.m. and she would have to get up at 6 a.m. in order to be ready in time to go. But she promised to go to next week's game because it's at 10:50 a.m. -- and it's also Chase's last soccer game of the season.
