There were traffic jams in normally traffic-free Columbia today because of the JB Bridge being closed. Nanaw didn't go to the cemetery today or over to South County. She'll do it tomorrow after she takes Chase home. She'll take the Poplar Street Bridge, go to the Manchester Schnuck's for Lactaid cottage cheese, then go to the cemetery, then to the gas station on Butler Hill and then to the website training meeting at church. Batching her jobs, you might say. When Chase and Nanaw got to Nanaw's house in the morning, Chase played on the laptop for awhile, then he and Nanaw played Minecraft on the iPad and iPhone. Mama sent along more snacks for Chase's backpack, and he made sure that all the Cheez-its were in there. Cheez-its are his favorite. After school, Chase was happy that they could go straight home and not have to go anywhere across the bridge. Once again, Chase played for awhile on the laptop, then he played hockey. He also brought some of his Hot Wheels out of his room and spread them out on Pawpaw's bed. Chase finally had baseball practice tonight. Nanaw went to watch him. She had trouble finding the practice. She called Mama to find out where they were practicing. It turned out they were moved from field 3 to field 11. Nanaw finally found them. Chase had forgotten Fred the flamingo in the back seat of Nanaw's car so Nanaw brought him along for Chase to take home. Nanaw sat by Cole's mom Tanya at the practice, and Brady's sister Emmy came to sit with them. Emma pulled up a lot weeds and gave them to Tanya and Nanaw as "flowers."
