Chase and Nanaw's adventure for Monday was a visit to the Science Center. They went first thing in the morning so that they could get a good parking spot. Chase read two books to Nanaw on the way. It was very hot outside so they were glad to be inside where it was cool. They said Hello to Pluto, the former planet, then went to the Mars Rover control console. Chase operated the console while Nanaw watched the Rover moving around. The tunnel between the Planetarium and the Science Center has been completely redone since their last visit. The walls are covered with really cool black and white photos of the moon -- so great! First, Chase used the digging machine and then he and Nanaw built buildings for the earthquake tremors to knock down. Next they went to one of Chase's favorites -- the game room. Unfortunately, it was very crowded and very loud so they didn't stay very long. Then they went outside to say hello to Chase's chicken friends and to visit the water area, Chase's favorite place at the Science Center. Next they went to the agriculture building. Then Chase decided it was time to go home, so they did. In the afternoon, they had school, and Chase read two more books and did three workbook pages. In the evening, Chase had his second to last baseball game of the season, and he did really well again.
