When Chase came to Nanaw's house on Wednesday morning, Nanaw told him that when he gets 100% on his reading comprehension test, they can go to the little library park to play with Brady and Andrew. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, she asked him if he remembered his reading book, and he said yes. Nanaw told him that if he had forgotten the book, she would have had him go back into his schoolroom and get the book. Chase said Ms. Kennedy would have already shut the door. Back at Nanaw's house, Chase and Nanaw started reading the book about Uncle Clem. They read the first chapter, and Chase paid attention, which made Nanaw very happy. Then they did one of the reading comprehension exercises in the Bridge book. Then they went outside and played baseball. Chase was excited to see two boys from his baseball team: Sam and Ethan. They were riding their bikes around Nanaw's neighborhood, then they went into the house on the circle that Mama looked at. He couldn't wait to tell Daddy about seeing them. He was going to see them again at baseball practice in an hour or so.
