Chase was excited to have a real snow day on Friday. Nanaw thought they might study for Tuesday’s math test, do some grammar questions, and practice the multiplication tables. But they didn’t do any of that. Chase had the whole day to play. He went outside twice to play in the snow. The second time Nanaw went out to play with him. He made two snowballs using the Dollar Tree snowball maker. Nanaw made a block of snow and Chase destroyed it with his snowballs. He really liked the chicken noodle soup Mama sent over for his lunch. Oyster crackers came with it; Mama and Chase call them palate cleansers. Chase and Nanaw went downstairs to play twice. Both times, Nanaw made sure they didn’t leave any stuffed animals behind. Tomorrow Chase is going to Aunt Becca’s house to go sledding and build a snowman. Aunt Becca says she has eyeballs for their snowman.
