Chase had the day off from school again on Friday. Mama had the day off too to spend with Aunt Becca but she brought Chase over at the regular time. Chase had a hockey lesson at ten in the morning so Chase and Nanaw left at 9 a.m. because it took half an hour to get there and half an hour for Chase to put on all his hockey gear for the lesson. The lesson was being held at the Meramec Sharks ice rink on Lemay Ferry Road, close to Arnold, Missouri. Nanaw had a wonderful time watching Chase with the instructor Dakota. They seemed to have a good relationship, and Chase seemed to listen to him and pay attention to him. Chase has become an excellent skater. Nanaw was fascinated to see him making zig-zag turns as he skated. In the afternoon, Chase worked on his book report. He got four of the five components done: the word cloud, the to-do list, the different ending, and the acrostic. He still has to do the three pictures, one from the beginning of the book, one from the middle, and one from the end. He said he and Nanaw could brainstorm about the pictures on Sunday when Nanaw comes to visit and then Chase would work on them on Monday after school at Nanaw's house.
