Monday was Chase's "Special Day" at pre-school. He brought his book Wally Woof for Ms. Merz to read to the class. He also brought his woofing and walking dog as his show and tell toy. Chase also brought the day's snack -- Scooby do graham cracker bones. Ms. Merz took a picture of Chase holding his Wally Woof book in front of a "My Special Day" sign and sent it to Mama. All in all, Chase was very happy with his special day. In the afternoon, Uncle Mike came to cut Nanaw's grass, and Chase was glad to see his Uncle Mike. While Uncle Mike was cutting the grass, Chase wanted to sit in his little lawn chair on the front porch and watch. So Nanaw brought chocolate mild and Doritos out to him. Then he told Nanaw he was cold, so she brought his chair inside and he sat at the front door and watched -- it was very cute. Later, Uncle Mike came in house, and Chase was sitting on the sofa in his jacket, with his Thomas backpack on his back. Uncle Mike asked what he was doing, and Chase said in an eeyore voice, "Waiting to go home." Nanaw knew nothing about this -- it was Chase's idea and was very funny.
