Monday was a major adventure day for Chase -- it was the day of his school picnic and Talent Show at Metter Park. Mama and Nanaw went to the picnic with Chase; the class and the parents and grandparents walked to Metter Park from school. The first thing the pre-school children did was to say their opening prayer; then they sang their days of the week song -- very cute -- but no one knew what day it was -- very funny. Next, the kids went to play the various games that were set up for them. By far the most popular was the tee ball with water balloons -- everybody liked that and there was a long line to participate. Chase also did the running game around pylons -- Mama and Nanaw couldn't figure out the game but Chase loved the running. He also did the sack race; he and Brady raced together, and it was very cute to watch. Next came the Talent Show. The pre-schoolers sang their "Friends" song and then the ABC song with sign language -- all so precious. After school, Chase, Mama and Nanaw went to Chik Fil A on Manchester Road for lunch, and Chase played in the indoor playground there. Then they went to Des Peres Park, and Chase played on the little playground and the big playground. Their final adventure was a trip to the big Des Peres Schnucks, where Chase pushed one of the little Customer in Training shopping carts -- he looked so cute.
