Tuesday morning Chase asked, "Is there any more school?" Nanaw told him he had one more day on Wednesday but that school would start up again soon in a few months in August. Nanaw is sad that school is ending for Chase; he loves it so much. But Nanaw is happy for herself because she'll have more time to play with Chase. Tuesday's adventure was a visit to Powder Valley. It had been a few weeks since their last visit, so Chase and Nanaw were happy to go and had a really good time. Chase visited the fish, the turtles, the snakes and the frogs, all his friends. After going through all the displays, Chase and Nanaw went for a walk on one of the trails -- the half mile loop from the walking bridge. Chase loves walking on the trails and so does Nanaw. After Chase's nap, Nanaw read Chase's new Llama Llama book to him -- it was very cute. Nanaw started making up stories to tell Chase, and he seemed to really like that. When one story was finished, Chase would say, "Ready for the next one." He wanted to go to McDonald's but Nanaw said he would have to wait until after school was out on Wednesday -- that would be his special end-of-school treat.
