Chase and Nanaw were running a little late on Monday morning, and for the first time, they had to wait in a long line to let Chase out of the car for school. Nanaw won't let that happen again. When Nanaw picked Chase up, he told her that he got a three on his spelling test, which means he got all the words right. But for homework, he has to write sentences with the first nine spelling words. This week's words are homophones. Chase had his after-school snack of ham; when he was done, he asked if there was more but Mama had only sent one piece. So Nanaw said she would ask Mama for more ham so he could have some on Tuesday. On the way home, Chase played with Nanaw's Fire Tablet. He played Among Us, his latest new game obsession. Mama told Nanaw all about Chase's upcoming appointments with the eye doctor, the dentist and the orthodontist, and Nanaw put them on the calendar so that she knows when Mama will be coming to pick Chase up early for his appointments.
