On Sunday afternoon, Aunt Nona, cousin Austin, and cousin Wesley came to Chase's house to visit Grandma Pat, Daddy, Mama and Chase. Because of Covid, they sat outside on the patio. Chase and Wesley played on the trampoline and had lots of fun. They had McDonald's for lunch, and Chase said he had his regular -- that means a plain cheeseburger. Mama told Nanaw that Wesley is currently only eating chicken nuggets and chicken strips. Chase got a cool toy with his Happy Meal; it shoots a thing across the kitchen floor. Nanaw came over for dinner. Chase had requested ham for dinner so that's what Mama fixed. She also made hash browns and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. Mama sent the leftover Caesar salad home with Nanaw; she also sent ham for Chase to have as an after school snack. After dinner, while Mama was cleaning up the kitchen, Chase and Nanaw went into Chase's room and read a page in the Answers book about taste buds. Then Mama, Chase and Nanaw made Chase's very messy bed. Then Mama, Chase and Nanaw played three games of Pop the Pig. After the game, they tried the trick from the taste bud page of putting a drop of syrup on the back of the tongue. Supposedly, you wouldn't be able to taste that it's sweet because the taste buds at the back of the tongue only taste bitter things. But everybody could taste the syrup. They were being silly and giggling, and Daddy came into the kitchen to see what was going on. That was very funny. Nanaw forgot to take a picture or Chase so she's using one that Mama sent her. It's of Chase and Brady four years ago on the Polar Express train ride -- in their jammies.
