On Tuesday morning, before Nanaw took Chase to school, she got the frozen loaf of bread ready to rise. She showed it to Chase and told him they would bake it when he got home from school. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, she made sure that he had all the materials he needed to complete his history project about creating his own city-state, like Greece used to have. At home, Nanaw warmed up the oven and then put the bread in to bake. Chase worked on his history project and finished all the sections. He redid his flag, using ideas from Uganda's flag and Bosnia's flag. He also drew a map of his city-state and a social hierarchy pyramid. As far as editing is concerned, Nanaw suggested an apostrophe and a couple of commas, but otherwise, Chase did everything himself. It was quite creative; Chase is a pretty good writer. Here's a link to Chaseopolis. When the bread was done, Nanaw buttered a couple of small pieces for Chase. He took a bite and said he didn't want it. She tried again later with the same result. Nanaw sent the rest of the bread home to Mama and Daddy. Later in the evening, Mama said Chase asked her to text Nanaw to tell her that he ate some of the bread, and it was better.
