Today, Chase and Nanaw had a great adventurous day with cousin Lindsey. They picked her up in Florissant in the morning and then went out to Ellisville where the Daniel Boone Library is. Before Laptime, they had breakfast at McDonald’s. Nanaw ordered a big breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs and biscuits to share with Chase, but he was just mostly interested in his chocolate milk, which he quickly drank. After breakfast, they went to Laptime, and it was a huge success. Chase seemed to have a great time playing in the tunnel and with all the toys that were new to him. He dug into a box of Matchbox cars and tossed them all around on the floor. The Daniel Boone Laptime was excellent, with lots of good books and songs and a very energetic teacher, Miss Mary-Carol. Next, they went to the Manchester Walmart where Nanaw bought snacks and a pair of shoes for Lindsey and an Elmo sandwich box for Chase. He also got a super hero action figure from the Jiffy Lube man and then chewed the figure’s head off. Next, came Taco Bell for lunch, then a stop at Chase’s house to pick up Sam. They all went to the park by the school, and Chase seemed to have grand time running around the park and swinging. Soon it was time to take cousin Lindsey back home. After that, Chase and Nanaw stopped at Uncle Mike’s house to visit and to pick cucumbers. Nanaw took Chase home and he had a Dairy Queen burger for dinner. Mama and Daddy shared their blizzards with him and he kept saying "Muh, Muh," which means "More" in Chase-speak.
