On Monday morning, Chase and Nanaw took a road trip to Pontoon Beach for Nanaw to get the emissions test done on the Escape. Chase seems to really like riding in the car. During the ride, he had long conversations with himself, and he burst into song every once in awhile—singing the ABC song, Jingle Bells, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star (except he says Crinkle, Crinkle) and The Wheels on the Bus. When they got home, he spent some time watching the Thomas DVDs before his nap. Nanaw let Chase play with the major screwdriver / flashlight combo Mama gave Nanaw for Mother’s Day. In the afternoon when Chase got up from his nap, he and Nanaw played in his room with the mega blocks and Chase’s cars – which he calls "bee-byes." Chase went home early on Monday because Nanaw had to go to a dentist’s appointment.
