Chase had a major day of adventures. Mama had the day off so Chase, Mama and Nanaw went to Powder Valley, the Train Store, Union Station and Once Upon a Child. Chase seemed to have a wonderful time everywhere he went. It was Mama's first visit to Powder Valley, and Chase ran around showing her all the displays and exhibits. Chase was happy to see a busload of little boys and girls who were visiting Powder Valley for a school field trip. The next stop was the Train Store in Valley Park, another first-time visit for Mama. Chase seemed to have a grand time playing with the train tables. Mama bought him some cinnamon cookies and a Thomas lantern. Next they went to Once Upon a Child where Chase played with two kitchens, and Mama bought him some waterproof gloves, a pair of Nike tennis shoes and a green tee-shirt. Nanaw bought him a little steering wheel toy that makes all kinds of noises. Mama called Nanaw later in the afternoon to tell her that Mr. Chase did not take a nap when he got home. He chattered for an hour or so and finally Mama got him up. His adventure for the evening was a visit from Aunt Becca and Uncle Stan, who were bringing fish from a fish fry -- chicken for Mama, of course.
