Chase’s adventure for Friday was a visit to his favorite place: the Train House. On the way there, he told Nanaw he didn’t want to go the Thomas tables, he wanted to watch the trains running. Nanaw explained that the trains running were night-night until next Christmas. Chase seemed to accept that explanation and was fine about going into the Thomas table room. He played with everything, starting with the pretend car and then moving on to the magnetic trucks. When he went to play in the kitchen, another little boy named Todd decided to play with Chase. It was very cute – the little boy followed Chase around the room and did the same things that Chase did. In addition to playing with Cranky and the train tables, Chase played on the school bus, built with the mega blocks and played with the pizza pie puppet. For the last part of the session, Chase played with a grandma who was helping her grandson Evan build with the wooden blocks. They all did a good job, and amazingly enough, Chase built carefully rather than crashing things down the way he usually does. It was a very successful visit to the Train House.
