Mama, Chase and Nanaw had a major adventure on Thursday. At Mama's request, they went to the zoo. The weather was absolutely wonderful -- a beautiful Indian summer day. They visited the giraffes first. Then they went to two places new to them: the herpetarium and the insect house. In the herpetarium, Chase was delighted to see the huge turtles, one of his favorites. He brought along Tee Tee and his little black stuffed puppy Rascal so they could see all the animals. Chase loved seeing all the snakes, frogs, lizards and salamanders. Next, they went to the insect house. Much to Nanaw's delight, Chase finally agreed to ride on the zoo train. They got to see Raja the elephant from the train -- he's huge and has great big tusks. He was born at the zoo and will be 24 years old on December 27, 2016. They went to the children's zoo, and Chase played on the playground, much to his delight. Then they went inside the children's zoo building, and Chase petted the guinea pigs. Chase came over to Nanaw's house in the evening while Daddy went to a church meeting, and Mama went to the hockey game with Uncle Mike.
