Chase and Nanaw played in his room first thing in the morning, before their adventures began. Around 9 o'clock, they went to Powder Valley. Chase was happy to see that there were lots of boys and girls visiting there. The first thing Chase did was to get copies of the newsletter and pencils so that he and Nanaw could do the scavenger hunt. Even though they've already done the hunt several times, Chase still wants to do it every time he goes. He went to visit all his favorite displays: the bug area, the bees, the aquarium, the computer, the confluence video, the tree-house and the puppets. The most exciting thing happened at the aquarium: the turtle was swimming all around rather than hiding out buried in the gravel. After a while, the turtle stopped swimming and buried itself in the gravel. After Powder Valley, Chase and Nanaw went to the library to get their prizes for the reading program. Nanaw got a backpack and Chase got a huge red beach ball (that needed to be blown up). When Nanaw took Chase home, Daddy blew up the beach ball and he and Chase played with it in the trampoline. Nanaw stayed for dinner -- delicious BLT wraps. Chase wanted Nanaw to stay and watch the All Star game but she went home instead.
