Chase had the day off from school for Casimir Pulaski Day (that's a holiday in Illinois). It was really cold outside -- five degrees. So Chase had three hats: a hoodie, a knit cap and his coat hood. Nanaw and Chase had a major adventure: They went to the Science Center, where they hadn't been in a long while. It was very exciting because they had all kinds of new displays and activities. Chase was especially excited about the huge game area. They had basketball hoops, a foosball game, floor soccer, a floor game with dragons, all kinds of video games, virtual reality headsets, old computer games and lots more. It was absolutely fascinating, and Chase and Nanaw will have to go back and try everything. They also changed the displays on the ramp area leading from the planetarium to the Science Center. They had a microscope display and two microscopes you could use to look at rocks and porcupine quills and fossils. Really cool! They stayed almost three hours, and Nanaw expected Chase to protest when Nanaw said it was time to go. He only said, "Can we come back soon?" and Nanaw said "Yes, of course." In the afternoon, Chase took a long nap; Nanaw thinks he wore himself out playing at the Science Center.
